Course Description
The Incident Command System (ICS) is a standardized on site management system designed to enable effective, efficient incident management by integrating a combination of facilities, equipment, personnel, procedures, and communications operating within a common organizational structure. This course describes the history, features and principles, and organizational structure of the Incident Command System. It covers the operating characteristics of ICS and its organizations and operations.
Course Goal
To enhance the participants’ knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to understand how to use ICS in different types of emergency scenarios.

By the end of this course, participant will be able to
- Differentiate between Emergency Management and the Incident Command System.
- Identify positions within the ICS.
- Describe roles and responsibilities of each ICS position.
- Demonstrate how the ICS can be used in different types of emergency scenarios.
- Applying the Incident Command System (ICS) to Planned Events.
