Course Description

This course provides the personnel who will first respond to an accident with the required knowledge for the immediate mobilization and efficient implementation of operations during the first crucial hours of a spill, through detailed presentations of response methods and practical application of them. It covers the activities related to oil and gas exploration and production that carry a risk of oil spill require fast, precise, and coordinated countermeasures to mitigate the impact to the environment. Therefore, a local team is required for immediate response to oil spills to preserve the Environment. 

Course Goal

To enhance the participants’ knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for immediate mobilization and efficient implementation of operations during the first crucial hours of an oil spill.

Course Objectives

By the end of this course, participant will be able to:

  • Set procedures to prevent any kind of pollution as a proactive approach.
  • Decide the best way and solution to treat any kind of pollution.
  • Select the most appropriate response equipment and operate it.
  • Select and implement clean-up strategies.
